About 8-10 weeks:

• Orientation to the Practice
• Get Patient History
• Ultrasound for Dating
• Draw Prenatal Labs – HIV, Hepatitis, Syphilis, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Rubella, CBC, Rubeda and Blood Type
• Check Varicella status
• Discuss Any High Risk Factors
• Check Weight, BP, and Urine
• Listen for Fetal Heart Tones
• Perform Physical Exam (if not already done)

About 16 weeks:

• Listen for Fetal Heart Tones and Check Uterine Size
• Order AFP, Quad Screen or Sequential Screen (Patient preference)
• Check Weight, BP, and Urine

About 20 weeks:

• Listen for Fetal Heart Tones and Check Uterine Size
• Check Weight, BP, and Urine
• Discuss Prenatal Classes

About 24 weeks:

• Listen for Fetal Heart Tones and Check Uterine Size
• Check Weight, BP, and Urine
• Patients sign-up for Childbirth Classes through The
  Reading Hospital

About 28 weeks:

• Listen for Fetal Heart Tones and Check Uterine Size
• Check Weight, BP, and Urine
• Order One-hour Glucose Test
• A Rhogam Shot is Given to Patients Who Have Rh-Negative Blood Type
• Review signs and symptoms of preterm labor
• Non Stress Test for High risk Pregnancy, entire 3rd trimester

About 30 weeks:

• Listen for Fetal Heart Tones and Check Uterine Size
• Check Weight, BP, and Urine
• Discuss Glucose Test Results

About 32-36 weeks:

• Listen for Fetal Heart Tones and Check Uterine Size
• Check Weight, BP, and Urine
• Check for the Baby's Position

About 36 weeks:

• Listen for Fetal Heart Tones and Check Uterine Size
• Check Weight, BP, and Urine
• Discuss Labor and Delivery
• Group B Strep Culture of the Vagina

About 38 weeks:

• Listen for Fetal Heart Tones and Check Uterine Size
• Check Weight, BP, and Urine
• Cervical Examination

After 40 weeks:

• Listen for Fetal Heart Tones and Check Uterine Size
• Check Weight, BP, and Urine
• Cervical Examination
• Discuss Management Plan for Delivery on an Individual Basis
• Nipple Stimulation Contraction Stress Test
